Colorado Wedding Venues | Blue Spruce Photography

Places we know by heart.

Blue Spruce is a preferred photographer at wedding venues across Colorado, and we have photographed at more than a hundred others, from Front Range event centers to mountain lodges above ten thousand feet.

When you tell us where you are getting married, there is a good chance we already know the light, the timing, and the spots most couples never think to use.

Sierra + Jeroen

Boettcher Mansion

Golden, Colorado · Lookout Mountain

Lookout Mountain makes its own weather. We keep a running list of where to take you when the fog rolls through, because up here it usually does. Some of our favorite frames anywhere were made here on days the forecast called ruined.

Ken Caryl Vista

Littleton, Colorado

We have photographed more weddings here than anywhere else in Colorado. The hogback changes with the season and the hour, and we have shot against it in all of them. Ask us anything about this valley.

Evergreen Lake House

Evergreen, Colorado

The lake does half the work here. We know the other half: where the evening light lands on the water, when to step away from the reception for ten quiet minutes on the shore, and how to use the mountains behind you without losing the two of you in them.

Wellshire Event Center

Denver, Colorado

A city venue that photographs like it is nowhere near the city. We know which windows do the work in the late afternoon and where the grounds open up once the ceremony chairs are folded. Ten minutes from downtown, and none of it shows in your photographs.

The Lodge at Breckenridge

Breckenridge, Colorado

The deck sits above ten thousand feet with the Tenmile Range straight ahead, and that view is the reason couples book this place. We know the fifteen minutes of the day when it is at its very best. We build the timeline backward from them.

Hotel Clio

Cherry Creek · Denver, Colorado

Cherry Creek polish, photographed honestly. The light inside this hotel does more work than most Denver ballrooms, and we know which corners earn their keep at every hour of the reception. City weddings are their own craft, and this is where we practice it.

Beaver Run Resort

Breckenridge, Colorado

Base of Peak 9, with the resort wrapped around the celebration. Mountain weddings run on mountain weather, so every timeline we build here carries a second version in our back pocket. This venue has never caught us off guard.

Silverthorne Pavilion

Silverthorne, Colorado

The Blue River runs right behind the pavilion, and Summit County light changes by the quarter hour. We walk this venue before every wedding anyway. By ceremony time we already know where the mountains will sit in your photographs.

The Historic Crags Lodge

Estes Park, Colorado

There have been weddings on this porch for over a hundred years, and the Estes Valley below it is the reason. Old lodges hold light differently than new buildings do, and we have learned exactly how this one does it, hour by hour.

Della Terra Mountain Chateau

Estes Park, Colorado

Floor to ceiling windows facing the mountains, and a chateau that photographs like it grew out of the hillside. We plan the whole timeline around what those windows do at dusk. Estes Park handles the rest.

The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park

Evergreen, Colorado

Evergreen sun outside and barn light inside, and the two could not be more different. We plan the day around that handoff. By the time the dancing starts we already know where every photograph is coming from.

Mountain View Ranch

Pine, Colorado

Ponderosa pines, foothills meadow, and more ceremony sites than most couples realize. We have photographed this ranch across its seasons and know which spot fits which time of day.

Makenna + Creighton

“He knew our venue inside and out and had fantastic recommendations for where to capture the best shots.”

— Rebecca, married at Boettcher Mansion
